The annual event benefits the school’s fifth grade class. Funds raised will go toward an end of year field trip and a class gift to the school as a lasting memento.

Area businesses have donated food, beverages, gift cards and gift baskets to help make the evening a success for the fifth graders. Parent volunteers have donated their time and effort and are looking forward to a fun evening.

“The fifth grade students are the servers for the evening, giving them a chance to be involved, help out and have some fun,” said Teresa Belvedere, a member of the R. P. Connor School fifth grade parent committee and an organizer of the event.

“This is a great community event,” said Kelly Dowd, principal of R.P. Connor Elementary School. “The parents cook and the children serve. It’s teamwork at its best. Everyone works together to make it a successful and fun evening for all.”

Not to mention delicious. “With local restaurants offering their fare as part of the evening, it’s the best deal in town,” said Stacy Di Pietro, head of the fifth grade parent committee.

The dinner costs $5 per person and includes spaghetti, meatballs, bread, salad, beverage and dessert.

More good news! For the first time this year, those who can’t stay can now get meals to go beginning at 4 p.m.
