HILLBURN, N.Y. -- Friction over past cuts in staffing and programs is coloring a teachers’ contract dispute in the Ramapo Central School District, according to a report in lohud.com.
Teachers, who have been working without a contract since June 30, as well as parents and students turned up at recent school board meeting in a show of solidarity, the report said.
Stephen Walker, the district’s assistant superintendent for human resources, told lohud that district officials are working diligently on an agreement with union officials.
