The computer of ASM Sports' founder, Andy Miller, was among the items seized by agents from the bureau's Newark Field Office, one said.
The Wednesday raid at the Dean Street officers of the agency -- which represents, among others, Knicks star Kristaps Porzingis -- came during an investigation led by the FBI into various allegations, including that high school recruits were bribed to go to specific schools.
The day before, four coaches at major universities, a former ASM employee and five other people -- including an Addidas executive -- were arrested on fraud and corruption charges, the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York announced.
Miller, who has negotiated an estimated $1 billion in contract and endorsements for professional basketball players the past 20 years, wasn't named in the indictment unsealed with the arrests.
Documents on file in U.S. District Court in Manhattan identify ASM as "Sports Management Company-1" and defendant Christian Dawkins as an ASM employee from 2015 to May 2017, when he was fired.
The indictment accuses Dawkins and co-defendant Jim Gatto, then of Adidas, of paying off high school players or their families in exchange for commitments to play for universities sponsored by Adidas -- and to sign with Adidas after they turn pro.
It also accuses Dawkins of participating in a scheme to bribe assistant college coaches in exchange for their influence.
