Suffern Midget Cheerleading Squad Advances To Nationals At Disney World

SUFFERN, N.Y. -- The Suffern Midget Mounties Pee Wee Cheerleading squad of 9- to 14 year-olds has advanced to the national Pop Warner cheer competition and will be competing Wednesday, Dec. 7 at the ESPN Wide World of Sports in Walt Disney World in Orlando, FL.

This is the first time in the history of Suffern Pop Warner cheer that any team has gone on to compete at nationals.

They leave in one week and this Monday, Nov. 28, they continue their fundraising efforts towards their trip by hosting a Pasta Dinner at the Suffern Community Center at 41 Washington Ave., Suffern.

Admission is $10 per adult and $5 per child 10 and under. Price includes unlimited pasta, salad, bread, dessert and non-alcoholic drinks and coffee. There will also be tricky tray raffles and 50/50.

The event is open to the public.
