Ramsey Tracks To Close This Week For Safety Upgrades

RAMSEY, N.J. — If you usually drive over the railroad tracks in Ramsey, plan an alternate route.

The Main Street railroad tracks will be closed for two weeks as long-awaited safety improvements are maid.

Detours arranged by the police will be in place as NJ Transit installs a new crossing surface under the tracks, extended sidewalks and a fence with warning signs, NorthJersey.com reports.

The Main Street train station will remain open for commuters.
