RAMAPO, N.Y. – The Ramapo Town Board approved turning 25 wooded acres on Pomona Road near Provident Bank Park into commercial property at a meeting on Thursday, March 24, according to lohud.com.
The aim is to turn the area into a hotel, stores and volunteer housing, lohud.com said.
All of the land is actually in New Hempstead, and the village would need to grant zoning and building approvals, reported lohud.com.
Ramapo has held early talks with the village and developers like Hilton, noted lohud.comTo read the lohud.com article, click here.
