Driver Hits CT Police Cruiser During Wrong-Way Pursuit, Fentanyl, Cocaine Seized: Cops
A driver carrying suspected fentanyl, crack cocaine and cocaine struck two vehicles, including a police cruiser, while fleeing officers over the weekend, authorities said. He faces 40 charges.
Edwin Chevere was arrested after he allegedly drove the wrong way in the westbound lanes of Barnes Highway in Bristol during the chase Sunday night, Aug. 24, police said.
Officers seized 4 grams of suspected fentanyl, 38 grams of crack cocaine and 271 grams of cocaine, police said.
Chevere was charged with three counts of possession with intent to sell narcotics.
