RAMAPO, N.Y. -- Kids and teens can have fun while learning something at the same time during the Rockland Community College's Summer Camp in Ramapo.
A tradition for more than 40 years, RCC Summer Camp provide a safe, fun, and engaging environment for campers.
Campers can enroll in Sports Academy or Art Institute one week and computers the next, though Performing Arts requires a 3-week commitment so campers can prepare for their end of season show.
New projects are offered each week so campers who register for multiple sessions always have fresh and exciting things to do.
Mornings are dedicated to their specialty area, with lunch offered in the air-conditioned campus café. Traditional camp games and activities follow, with a rotating selection of enrichment activities like music, cooking, or photography round out each day.
The camps specialize in fun, upbeat, hands-on instruction, with a professional staff of teachers, coaches, and counselors. Campers make friends and enjoy the campus facilities as they develop their athletic skills, explore the world of science, expand their computer knowledge, or grow artistically in the fine or performing arts.
RCC’s indoor fieldhouse provides 40,000-square-feet of space to ensure campers always have a fun place to play, no matter what the weather. A full-time nurse, professional safety officers, and a smoke-free campus provide a safe and healthy environment for all.
Camp hours include free extended hours with early drop-off at 7:45 a.m. and and pick-up to 5:30 p.m..
Camp prices are $300 per week, with the first week prorated for the July 4 holiday.
