Renold Julien Joins Ramapo Daily Voice As Community Advisor

RAMAPO, N.Y. -- Renold Julien, a leader in Spring Valley's Haitian community, is one of Daily Voice's community advisors for its Ramapo site.

Community advisors provide Daily Voice with tips for local news and events.

Julien has twenty years of direct experience in strategic planning and management. He has ability to develop a vision, and achieve and deliver results in a wide variety of corporate and nonprofit settings. Julein possess strong leadership, organizational and communication skills. He has overseen the functioning and use of a recreation facilities that involves supervisory and managerial duties and has been responsible for enforcing the rules and regulations of youth facilities.

He earned his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, at Manhattan College, Riverdale, NY. He operates a full-time community center that offers programs in adult education, Youth & Recreation, Immigration & Citizenship services, after- school programs and International Missions.

He has established program guidelines and criteria, grant writing, oversee ongoing fundraising & annual support campaign.

He supervises 10 full time and non-exempt administrative staff. He recruits, hires, trains and evaluates full and part-time staff. He is responsible for career development of full-time professional staff and oversees the annual budget.

He is a member of Orange and Rockland Community Board Development. He founded the Rockland County Immigrant Coalition, Konbit Neg Lakay a Rockland County. He is President of the National Society of Black Engineers “Manhattan College Chapter”Staff member and a writer for the Manhattan newspaper “Quadrangle.”
