Woman Fatally Struck While Walking On Parkway In Westchester A woman died at a hospital after being hit by a car on a parkway in Westchester, police said. The crash happened on Thursday, Sept. 26 just after 1 a.m., when a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in the southbound lanes of the Hutchinson River Parkway in Mount Vernon between East Lincoln Avenue and East 3rd Street, according to Westchester County Police Public Information Officer Kieran O'Leary.  The woman, a resident of New York City, was rushed to a nearby hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
