Pair Of Ramapo Women Approached From Behind In Their Driveways, Police Say

RAMAPO, N.Y. --  Two women in Ramapo have been approached from behind by an unknown man in their driveways since Tuesday, Nov. 1,, according to Ramapo Police Chief Brad Weidel.

The Ramapo Police Department are warning residents that two women have been approached by a man in their driveways at night.

During the two separate incidents, the women were approached from behind after getting out of their vehicles in their driveways, Weidel said.

Both victims were driving home from different locations and may have been followed home, he added.

The first incident occurred on Tuesday, Nov. 1,  on Carmen Court, in Chestnut Ridge. The second incident took place on Thursday, Nov. 3, on Olympia Lane in Monsey. Both incidents occurred between the hours of 8:30 and 10 p.m., Weidel said.

The incidents are under investigation by the Ramapo Police Detective Division with assistance from the Rockland County Sheriff’s Department. At this time, it is unknown if these incidents are related.
