This free health-care training program prepares the students to care for patients of all ages that are homebound and in nursing homes.
Cardiopulmonary resuscitation is also included as part of the training. Job placement services are available upon completion.
Applicants must meet the following eligibility guidelines and program qualifications:
- Income guidelines apply
- Proof of one year New York residency
- Permanent residency or citizenship required
- 18 years of age
- Adequate reading skills
- Eligible for State clearance
- Must have High School Diploma, G.E.D or foreign High School Diploma
- Maximum 30 college credits
- Must pass physical exam and drug screening
