Ian Naveen Birla, a father of two and longtime finance executive who stepped away from his career to fight cancer, died Sunday, Sept. 7, according to his obituary from Boulevard Funeral Home and Cremation Service. He was 53 years old.
Birla, of Closter, was born in Indianapolis and raised in Memphis before attending the University of Michigan, where he met his wife, Nita, his obituary reads. FBI Had Teen On Radar Before ISIS Plot In County Where Trump Was Shot
The Pennsylvania county where a gunman shot President Donald Trump during a 2024 campaign rally is now at the center of another high-profile federal threat case.
The FBI says it first investigated Jonathan Hunter Kramer in 2023, when he was a minor, before arresting the Butler County man Saturday, Sept. 12, over an alleged ISIS-inspired attack plan.
Kramer, 20, of Valencia, was taken into custody after agents found a semiautomatic rifle, ammunition, loaded magazines, pepper spray, a scope, and other gear at a Cranberry Township hotel, according to a criminal complaint.

Prostitution Bust At Bergen County Hotel Turns Up Loaded Gun, Fake ID: Police
An undercover prostitution investigation at a Bergen County hotel turned up a loaded handgun, bogus driver's license, and a fake debit card, authorities said.
Carlstadt police responded to the hotel on Friday, April 10, around 10:53 p.m. as part of an investigation into the solicitation of prostitution, Detective Sgt. Mark Wong said in a Monday, Sept. 14 release.
