SUFFERN, N.Y. -- Margaret A. (Morgan) McQuade, a longtime resident of Rockland County, died on Wednesday, March 23. She was 88.
McQuade was a former president of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. "Margaret's greatest passion was her love and devotion to family," information from the funeral home noted. "She will be greatly missed for her independence and feisty spirit."
She is survived by her son, George Foy and his wife Geraldine; grandchildren Gina and her husband Brant Baird, and Christopher Foy and his wife Erin; and great-grandchildren Ellie and Braden. She was was predeceased by her husband, Patrick McQuade, and her parents, Alice and Joseph Morgan.
Visiting hours will be from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Friday, March 25, at Scarr Funeral Home, 160 Orange Ave., in Suffern. The funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, in Hawthorne.
