24-Year-Old Overdose Victim Revived By Ramapo Police

ROCKLAND COUNTY, N.Y. - Some fast thinking first responders in Ramapo helped save the life of a man who nearly overdosed on drugs.

Officers from the Ramapo Police Department responded to a medical emergency in Sloatsburg at approximately 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday night.

Upon arrival, police said that a 24-year-old man was not breathing and has possibly overdosed on drugs. The officers proceeded to administerd two doses of Naloxone to the man, which revived the man, possibly saving his life. He was subsequently transported to a local hospital for treatment and evaluation.This evening at approximately 8:30pm, Ramapo Police Department responded to a medical emergency in the Village of Sloatsburg. The 911 caller reported that a 24 year old male was not breathing. Upon arrival, officers made observations that the male had possibly overdosed on drugs. The quick-thinking officer administered 2 doses of Naloxone to the victim and he was subsequently revived. The male was transported to the hospital for treatment and evaluation.
