AIRMONT, N.Y. -- Ramapo police are investigating a house fire that damaged a home on Eileen Court last week.
Firefighters from the Tallman, Hillburn, Monsey, Spring Valley and Suffern fire departments rescued a few pets from the home. The owners were elsewhere at the time of the blaze, according to Ramapo police.
Police officers were the first to arrive at the home shortly before 6 p.m. on April 20 and found flames shooting from the eaves of the house, according to Ramapo investigators.
In addition to the fire departments, who battled the blaze for some time, Rockland Paramedic Services, Inc. along with the Ramapo Valley Ambulance Corp. also responded to the scene. Police reported no injuries.
Ramapo police are investigating the fire with assistance from the Rockand County Bureau of Criminal Investigations.
