RAMAPO, N.Y. -- A dispute over moving a car led to a Ramapo woman’s arrest after she poured bleach over another person’s clothing, police said.
The unidentified 27-year-old suspect was charged with criminal mischief, a felony, police said.
She is accused of damaging a large amount of the victim’s clothes with the caustic household chemical.
The incident evolved from a spat over moving a car out of a driveway at the residence so that another could exit, police said.
The suspect must appear in Ramapo Court next month to answer the charge, police said.
Also on Wednesday, Feb. 24, Ramapo police investigated nine motor vehicle accidents in the following places: New Square (1), Northeast Ramapo (1), Monsey (4), Airmont (1), New Hempstead (1), and Hillcrest (1).
Only one accident involved injuries, police said.
Among the 159 calls the police answered on the same day were: nine medical emergencies, 17 alarm activations, and three fires.
