SUV Skids Off Icy Road, Strikes House In Hillcrest

ROCKLAND COUNTY, N.Y. -- The driver of an SUV lost control on an icy roadway in Hillcrest and struck a house on Ward Lane on Sunday morning, Ramapo Police said.

Police are at the scene of the incident in which the SUV slid across a homeowner's front lawn.

There were no injuries and very little damage, police said, noting that the incident highlight just how dangerous driving in these conditions can be.

Police urged residents heading out during the day to be careful.
