Michael Baston was appointed president of RCC, effective on July 1, replacing Cliff Wood, who is retiring. Baston said he was elated to be joining the community college.
““You will not find a more dedicated and stellar performing faculty and staff, thoughtful and aspirational student body, and an administration and Board of Trustees committed to student success and furthering the success of Rockland County," Baston said.
Baston previously worked at LaGuardia Community College, where he served as acting provost and vice president for academic and student affairs. He also was dean of student development and campus life for Berkeley College.
