RAMAPO, N.Y. – Rockland Community College announced money has been raised to demolish the amphitheater located behind the campus' Cultural Arts Center, according to a story on lohud.com.
The amphitheater was opened in 1973, but was declared unsafe shortly thereafter for reasons that have been lost to history, lohud.com said.
Plans are to build a performance space on the amphitheater's site, reported lohud.com.
In total, razing the amphitheater and building the new performance site is projected to cost somewhere in between $600,000 and $1.3 million, lohud.com said.Read the full lohud.com article here.
