Air Bag Danger For Children Triggers Kia SUV Recall
More than 21,000 Kia SUVs are being recalled because the front passenger air bag could deploy when a child or children's seat is in the front seat. Kia issued the recall for 21,290 EV9 vehicles, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said in a report filed on Friday, Aug. 21. The recalled EV9s are from the 2025 and 2026 model years. The recall is due to improper routing of a tube in the Occupant Detection System beneath the front passenger seat. A familiar voice behind one of television’s longest-running game shows will not be returning. Sony Pictures Television fired “Wheel of Fortune” announcer Jim Thornton on Friday, Sept. 4, following an internal investigation, according to multiple reports.
