Explosive Diarrhea Illnesses Spread To 45 States: What To Know Now
A surge in an intestinal illness that can cause explosive diarrhea lasting for weeks has spread across most of the country, and confirmed cases may reveal only part of its reach. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported in a surveillance update dated Tuesday, July 28, that 6,707 laboratory-confirmed domestic cases of cyclosporiasis had been recorded across 45 states.
