Snow Outlook: National Weather Service Releases Winter Forecast Will this winter bring buried driveways or another season of waiting for snow? A new federal outlook offers clues about what the Northeast could face. NOAA’s National Weather Service released its winter outlook Thursday, Oct. 15, favoring above-average temperatures across the Northeast and wetter-than-average conditions along the East Coast from December through February 2027.
