Two New Jersey women, including a 36-year-old attorney, have been charged with drunk driving following a three-vehicle crash on Staten Island that killed a 66-year-old woman, authorities said.
Shannon Theodore, 36, of Somerset, who was identified as a lawyer by Staten Island Advance, was driving a 2019 Range Rover Velar northbound in the southbound lanes of the West Shore Expressway when she collided head-on with a 2025 Kia Seltos around 5:36 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, the New York Police Department said. Tiffany Taylor, a New Jersey woman whose testimony helped convict a serial killer she narrowly escaped while handcuffed, has died at age 44.
Taylor died in her sleep, according to her mother, Lola Acevedo, who shared the news in a GoFundMe campaign.
Raised in Jersey City's housing projects, Taylor eventually turned to sex work and robbing men.
