Two Long Island convenience stores were busted with hidden illegal gambling machines, leading to two arrests, police said.
Investigators searched the two Roosevelt shops — Good Food & Shake and Stop & Go Food Market — during a “quality of life” initiative on Monday, July 6, the Nassau County Police Department said.
Cops found two illegal gambling machines with $1,276 at Good Food & Shake and arrested Erick Hernandez Martinez, 33, of Freeport, according to authorities.

A drunk driver was arrested following a two-car wreck on Long Island on Monday night, July 6, police said.
Alan Vasquez, 20, of Hampton Bays, was one of two drivers involved in the crash at Montauk Highway and Carter Lane in East Quogue, the Southampton Town Police Department said.
Cops responded to the scene around 8:15 p.m. Monday and determined Vasquez was drunk at the time of the crash, authorities said. Both drivers suffered non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

Summer shoppers are getting a new round of price relief from the country’s largest retailer.
Walmart announced on Monday, July 6, that it is lowering prices on thousands of items through its summer Rollbacks program, including groceries, household essentials, outdoor living products, toys, and apparel.
