Two Monmouth County drivers were accused of being intoxicated during a deadly crash, authorities said.

A Monmouth County man was accused of stalking a teen girl, leaving her flowers and "disturbing" notes, authorities said.
Thomas Watts, 70, of Long Branch, was arrested by West Long Branch police on Thursday, Mar. 14, the department said in a news release. He was charged with stalking and harassment.

Melanie, a folk singer-songwriter whose music took her from the Jersey Shore to international success in the 70's, has died at 76 years old.
Melanie Safka died on Tuesday, Jan. 23, according to a Facebook post by her family. A cause of death was not given. The Long Branch native was born on Monday, Feb. 3, 1947, her IMDb page said.

Between Sunday morning, Dec. 10 and Monday morning, Dec. 11, the area that got the most amount of rain was Deerfield with 4.45 inches, then Flemington/Hopewell, with 4.29 inches. Franklin Lakes saw 4.09 inches, the NWS says. Flanders only got .13 inches, and Florham Park only had .38 inches of rain.
