A Virginia man who was found naked and covered in blood after dragging his victim’s dead body out of his own Washington, DC apartment in 2019 has admitted to his crime, authorities said.
Collin Potter, 30, of Quantico, pleaded guilty to second-degree murder while armed for the butchering of Vongell Lugo on Jan. 6, 2019, in which Potter stabbed his victim 42 times, federal officials said. A man has been hospitalized after being shot in the neck in downtown Fitchburg, police confirm to Daily Voice.
Police responded to the shooting at 330 Water Street around 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 14, police said. Upon arrival, officers found the victim, a 35-year-old Fitchburg resident, suffering from gunshot wounds to the right side of his neck, right bicep and abdomen, police said.

Atlantic City Man, 33, Wounded By Gunfire
Atlantic City police are investigating a shooting that took place earlier Thursday.
At 6:29 a.m., police responded to Indiana and Hummock avenues on a ShotSpotter alert.
Atlantic City police found a man suffering from a gunshot wound, according to Lt. Kevin Fair, a department spokesman.
The unidentified shooting victim, 33, of Atlantic City, was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Division, with a non-life threatening injury, Fair said.
